5 Night Caribbean Getaway Cruise

Day 1 Cruise Summary

Your cruise adventure started with a bit of Miami traffic drama only one lane heading into the terminal meant you arrived about an hour and a half later than planned. Thankfully, once you reached the Port of Miami, check‑in was surprisingly smooth and quick.

After boarding, the first task was completing the required muster station drill before the ship could leave port. Once that was done, you and Jeffrey made a beeline for Sorrento’s Pizza for your first onboard snack.

By then, your staterooms were ready, but your bags hadn’t arrived yet, so you spent time exploring the ship from top to bottom. About two hours later, your luggage finally showed up. You changed and headed straight for the hot tub where you stayed for an impressive 3½ hours. You were still soaking when the ship pulled away from the dock at 5:05 PM, giving you a perfect view of the sail‑away.

After the hot tub, everyone went back to the staterooms to get ready for dinner in the main dining room.

Tomorrow we arrive in Nassau Bahamas

Stay loyal to Royal Good Night

Day 2 Cruise Summary Nassau, Bahamas

Jeff and you woke up at 7:46 AM, thanks to the shaking and rumble of the ship’s thrusters as the captain guided the ship into the dock in Nassau. By 8:15 AM, all four of you were at the Windjammer enjoying a buffet‑style breakfast.

At 11 AM, you got off the ship and headed to the meeting point for the Royal Caribbean Paradise Island excursion. The wristband line was short, but once you learned that the included food and drinks didn’t cover the boat transportation, you decided it wasn’t worth it and chose to explore the cruise port instead.

After wandering around, you returned to the ship and spent time at the pool. At 3 PM, you and Jeff went to the aft of the ship to try the FlowRider for about 15 minutes, then hit the water slides. Afterward, you stopped at Johnny Rockets for milkshakes vanilla for you, cookies and cream for Jeffrey.

You rejoined Mom and Dad at the pool, and before long it was 4:30 PM. All aboard was at 5 PM, but the ship didn’t push back until 5:27 PM, giving you a little extra time to watch sail‑away.

After that, you grabbed nachos from El Loco Fresh, but since it was raining heavily, you took them down to the Promenade to eat. Then it was time to get ready for dinner in the main dining room.

Now you’re finally back in your staterooms, winding down at 1:12 AM.

See you tomorrow for a day at sea and a lot of fun to be had. Always stay loyal to Royal. Good night

Day 3 Cruise Summary Sea Day

Woke up at 8 and couldn’t fall back asleep, so we just got the day started early. Breakfast at the Windjammer with Dad, Jeffrey joined a little later, and Mom was off doing a cycling class.

After breakfast we got ready and headed to ice rink at 10:50am. Afterwards, we changed and headed to the FlowRider. Waited almost 45 minutes in line but it was worth it. Grabbed lunch at the Windjammer then spent the rest of the afternoon in the Solarium — the adults-only pool. Exactly where we needed to be. Dinner at 6:30 was a good one. Steak for me, salmon for the parents, and everyone ended on either crème brûlée or apple cobbler. No complaints.

After dinner we walked out to the helipad at the front of the ship, took some pictures, then caught The Price is Right live show. Mom and Dad called it a night around 9:45. Jeffrey and I kept going — Playmakers for a nightcap, a little mini golf under the night sky, and a failed attempt at the Sky Lounge (21+ only, apparently).

Now we’re back in the cabin watching the NCAA Championship. Another sea day tomorrow.

Next stop: Perfect Day at CocoCay. Always stay loyal to Royal.

Day 5 Cruise Summary — Perfect Day at CocoCay

You woke up at 7:00 AM to watch the ship dock at Perfect Day at CocoCay. After that, you headed to Mom and Dad’s cabin to wait for everyone to get ready for the beach. By 9:00 AM, all of you were off the ship and walking straight to South Beach, where you spent most of the morning relaxing.

At 12:00 PM, you headed to your reservation at Thrill Waterpark. You spent about an hour there riding all the slides in the tallest slide tower in North America. After conquering the tower, you returned to South Beach for lunch, then made your way to the swim‑up bar for a few hours of fun in the water.

Later in the afternoon, you all went back to Thrill Waterpark to spend the rest of the day there. You even convinced Dad to ride one of the slides with you since it required two people a solid team moment.

At 4:45 PM, you started heading back toward the ship for the 5:00 PM all aboard. Once back onboard, you and Jeffrey went to the aft of the ship to watch sail‑away, then rode the waterslides six more times before heading to your stateroom to get ready for dinner.
